NJDEP DataMiner Update

If you’ve ever worked with the NJDEP DataMiner Case Tracking Tool, you know it’s hit or miss on whether the system will return results in a timely manner (or at all!). Well today, the Department released some information that should be cause for rejoicing.

According to the NJDEP Site Remediation Waste Management Program (SRWMP), they have updated the “DataMiner Case Tracking Tool by Selected PI Number” report. Updates will allow the report to display Regulatory, Mandatory, and Statutory Timeframes for specific cases (LSRP Activity). If a case is under Administrative Consent Order (ACO), a link will be provided to access the ACO, as long as the data is electronically available, and specific timeframes will be displayed as required within the ACO.

If an extension was granted through Executive Order 103 (2020) and Public Law 2021, c. 103 , the report will also reflect the updated timeframes for those specific cases. For additional information regarding extensions granted through Executive Order 103 (2020) (“EO 103”) and Public Law 2021, c. 103 (P.L. 2021, c. 103), see https://www.nj.gov/dep/srp/executive_order/extension_information.html.

It should be noted that timeframes for NJDEP lead RCRA Corrective cases and Immediate Environmental Concern cases have not yet been updated. There are plans to update these cases in the future.

More information is available at www.nj.gov/dep or you can even follow the NJDEP on Twitter.
